What to expect in Windsor
Located just a 45 minute drive from outside of London, Windsor is one of the most visited towns in the UK, of course it helps that it is the location of Windsor Castle. This fantastic Castle has been home to the Royal Family for over 900 years and is the current official residence to Queen Elizabeth II.
When you visit Windsor on one of our trips, you will not only be guided around the Castle by one of our professional and experienced guides but you will have some time to wonder around the cobbled streets and visit one of the many shops and cafes. Of course you may wish to try one of the traditional English pubs located nearby with a terrific view of the Castle walls and bank.
The must see sights at Windsor Castle…
Of course most people want to come to Windsor to see the Castle and you will be sure to visit the State Apartments which are still used today to host state occasions and Royal receptions. You will also be taken around St Georges Chapel and will also have an opportunity to view the famous Dolls House.
