After you are picked up, your coach driver will take you straight into the darker side of London. One of your first destinations is London’s most haunted theatre, let your guide give you all the gory details as to why this theatre has this accolade. You will then also be taken to the Old Bailey, once a place where public hangings were an every day occurrence, you will also drive along the home of the famous demon barber “”Sweeney Todd””… Fleet Street, your guide will tell you all about him and Mrs Lovatt who it is believed baked pies containing the body parts of Sweeney Todds victims and sold them to innocent customers.
As the evening tour progresses, you will then get further into the East End of London, the key area of crime and vice back in the dark days and nights of the 19th Century. It was in 1888 when a cold chill descended over London’s East End at that Jack The Ripper struck from within the fog, first stalking and then butchering his victims within the darkness of the London alleys!
You will then step off the bus, and take the walk along the same path as the Ripper and his victims did… you will see the sites of these horrendous crimes and be given all the evidence and information about the proposed suspects. You will also visit what is believed to be the pub where Jack The Rippers victims would visit, the 10 Bells Pub which was built back in 1752. The case of Jack The Ripper and his five victims remain unsolved to this day!
